Hotel Indigo
Owner: Everest Holdings
Architect: DLR Group
Location: Scottsdale, Arizona
Size: 77,000 sf

The Hotel Indigo Scottsdale has been given modern updates using custom-designed furniture, light wood flooring, and the Indigo trademark giant wall murals.
This complete remodel of a 10-year-old, 126-room, Hampton Inn, consisted of a full gut and redesign of all guestrooms and guest bathrooms as well as the lobby, entry stairway and public restrooms. The redesigned and enlarged bar/lounge area contains a newly constructed 1,400 sf exterior balcony. A new fitness center was created and murals and artwork appear throughout that will be changed on a regular basis in keeping with Hotel Indigo's concept of "renewal."
The Y-shaped structure allows an existing swimming pool to nestle into the crook of the Y. The exterior of the building was treated to a striking gray, blue, and cranberry color scheme that contrasts with the existing copper roof that grounds this Hotel Indigo in its southwest context.
Finally, in keeping with the graphically rich Indigo concept, southwest-themed murals were added to both exterior ends of the building and to the edge treatment of the balcony. This art makes for a unique conversation piece in the already dynamic downtown Scottsdale area.
