HSW provided preconstruction and construction services for this 100,000 sf data center in Tucson, Arizona. Phase 3 consists of 19,000 sf of new data center, 14,500 sf of future data center infrastructure, and a new 11,500 sf mezzanine. The project also included all mechanical and electrical work, an upgraded foundation, a mechanical plant with cooling towers, and a 46 KW substation for utility power.  HSW built a new generator enclosure for eleven-2000 KW generators, five of which were installed in Phase 3.  The team implemented the use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and careful evaluation, which will ensure seamless installation and integration during future phases.

This project achieved LEED Gold! Sustainable aspects of the construction process included the enhanced commissioning of all systems, the use of Green Power, and the successful effort to recycle 95 percent of all construction materials.
